Passage: Luke 12:4-34
Summary: There are many circumstances that can cause anxiety and fear in our lives. As disciples of Christ, we should ultimately put our faith in Him to provide for us even in times of great difficulty, knowing that He has already given us the greatest gift in salvation. We can be stewards of the gifts that God grants us by giving our time, effort, and wealth in working for His Kingdom!

Passage: John 17:1-5
Summary: The work of Christ was done perfectly, so that the Father would be glorified, and man could enter into eternal life. When we follow Christ, we become motivated and energized to follow in His footsteps of glorifying the Father in our own work. Even though we can never accomplish this perfectly like Christ, The Spirit grants us the strength, boldness, and direction to perform our work greatly, and to go into our lives sharing the Gospel with co-workers, friends, and family.

Passage: Genesis 1-3
Summary: God has been working since before the foundations of the world, and since we are created in His image, that means we are made to work as well. However, because of the fall, work has become corrupted, and we often turn it into an idol in our lives, despite the fact that it leaves no lasting satisfaction, and even adds to our levels of stress and anxiety. Make the commitment to living your life for God, and find that lasting fulfillment in every aspect of your life, including work!

Category: Gospel, Legalism
Speaker: Jon Chasteen
Passage: Luke 11:37-12:3
Summary: Following Christ does not mean we need to follow a legalistic twelve step program of salvation. The Gospel cleanses our hearts, removes our burdens, and unlocks the answers to scripture, while religion becomes a test of man's ability to be 'good enough.' If you want to find assurance of God's Grace in your life, then turn to the pages of the Gospel, and listen to the words of Christ, His truth shall set you free!

Passage: Luke 11:27-36
Summary: Christ tells us that true blessedness comes from both the hearing and the keeping of God's word. God has revealed himself to us throughout scripture and has called us to examine His word, store it in our hearts, and live according to the example that Christ has set. When we do keep His word, we become a light in the midst of darkness, revealing the knowledge of His righteousness and love to all.

Passage: Luke 11:1-28
Summary: When Christ tells us how to pray in Luke 11, we realize that we turn towards the absolute sovereignty of God in absolute persistence, making us dependent on the Spirit in our lives. When we consider RHC in 2013, we can apply this approach for both congregational goals and our own ministry goals within the congregation. Will we be a people obedient to the Father, who hunger to see the City within a City multiply in the greater Medford area and throughout the world?

Passage: Luke 10:25-42
Summary: In the parable of "The Good Samaritan", Jesus ultimately tells us that everyone and anyone who is in need is our neighbor. In the parable, we are shown how the Samaritan goes to extraordinary lengths in showing compassion and mercy towards the beaten and broken man. The only way to live out the neighborly love exemplified in this picture, is to prioritize our relationship with Christ and to listen to Him speak through the learning of His Gospel.

Passage: Leviticus 16
Summary: It is our sin that separates us from a perfect and holy God, and the just punishment of that sin is eternal spiritual death spent apart from Him. The Israelite's practiced the Day of Atonement annually in order that they may repent of the nation's sins against God. Now that Christ has come, lived the perfect life, died on the cross, and rose again, we can rest on His once and for all atonement that has defeated sin, and made it possible to live in eternity with God!
