Before Christ was condemned to die on Calvary, He and his disciples shared one last meal together. This meal, the Passover, reminded the Jews of God's rescue from their slavery in Egypt. When we practice the Lord's Supper today, we are reminded of Christ's atoning sacrifice on the cross, His provision of the Holy Spirit, and that we are saved into a community of believers.
