When Jesus is prophesying the impending destruction of Jerusalem, we can see a warning of the same sort given to us. There will be a day of judgment, and for those of us who are in Christ, we can celebrate the approaching kingdom of God. Be vigilant in prayer, and steadfast in your commitment, as the approaching kingdom will be marked by persecution and trials. But know, that as difficulties increase, that Christ will strengthen us through the Spirit, and empower us to be faithful witnesses for God.
