Redemption Hill Student Ministry exists to glorify God by equipping Middle and High School students and their families to live out his mission as a community transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The primary focus of student ministry (grades 6-12) is to provide opportunities for them to worship God and grow together during this unique season of life in the context of our local church. We desire to foster an environment of Gospel-centered learning conducive to growth in the knowledge and love of Christ. Students will be challenged to grow in their understanding and commitment to the gospel, Christian community, and God’s mission. Student ministry is not only an integral part of a young Christian’s life, but also provides a context to be missional with non-believers among their families, friends, and social circles.
To accomplish this vision we aim to:
- Support, Involve, & Equip Parents as the Primary Spiritual Leaders
- Integrate Students into the Larger Church Body
- Promote Responsibility and Provide Opportunities for Leadership Development
- Focus on Individual and Small Group Discipleship
- Develop Young Men and Women Individually and in Community
- Provide Age and Grade Specific Ministry Opportunities
At RHC, we want to provide various opportunities for students to become actively involved in the Life of the church. Below, we highlight some of the ways students can be involved at RHC:
We welcome every student and their families to join us at 10:30 on Sunday mornings for corporate worship at The Medford Boys and Girls Club (30 Forest St). We also encourage our students to become engaged in our various service opportunities before, during, and after Sunday worship. In the past, our students have served in various ministries such as First Impressions, Kid’s Ministry, and Music and Media.
We heavily encourage all of our students to be actively involved in numerous service opportunities throughout the year. There are several opportunities to serve the Medford Community as a church including; Soccer Nights, Easter Egg Hunts, Turkey Giveaways, Community Fun Night, and more! We would like to see our students taking prominent leadership roles in these, and other service efforts all throughout the year
While we do not currently have a specific time or location carved out for traditional youth group meetings, we are in the process of strategically building a mentoring ministry that will meet the spiritual growth needs of our students. Our hope is to create a strong, Gospel-centered mentoring program where middle and high School aged students will have an opportunity to grow deeply in their relationship with Christ. Our desire is for student’s to be paired with spiritually mature members of Redemption Hill Church in an intentional mentoring relationship. Eventually, as our group of mentored students continues to grow, we would like to start having larger group gatherings, retreats, and mission’s trips.
If you have a middle or high school aged student, please let us know, as we would love to get them plugged into the RHC community. We hope you will join us as we enter into this exciting new season with Redemption Hill Students!
