Help for Those in Need at Redemption Hill

We believe that God’s mercy moves Him to relieve suffering and misery, and it makes us sensitive towards others’ pain and gives us a desire to alleviate it.  We are reminded by the Apostle Paul that “if anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?  Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” [1 John 3:17-18] Therefore, to the best of our ability, we will try to provide for financial, material, and spiritual needs within the Body of Christ aligned with the compassion so clearly taught in the Scriptures.

At Redemption Hill Church, we believe that each individual has a primary responsibility to be the hands and heart of Jesus to those that they encounter in life’s journey.  As a community of faith committed to living life together, our Community Groups oftentimes identify needs amongst themselves and seek to address them with their small groups.  But sometimes, the need outstrips the resources of one individual or even a small group.  It is at these times that asking for help from the Benevolence Fund might be appropriate.

Perhaps you could use help with emergency urgent aid in order to reduce immediate suffering.  Or, perhaps you seek strengthening assistance as you actively participate in your own recovery.  Or, perhaps this is a time in your life where real ongoing change in your circumstances is pointed towards full restoration and right relationship with God, yourself, others, and even the whole of creation…

And you just need a little help and a little encouragement….  Then we’d like to help…

We are willing to ask good questions and assess your situation.  At times, we can encourage you with financial and material assistance.  Other times, a wise referral towards another potential community resource may be forthcoming.  Always, we will strive to be partners and facilitators of the work God is doing in your life… as well as our own.
